Full production cycle

  /  Full production cycle

At Borgo Piumini, we are able to manage the entire garment production cycle completely in-house.

We start with the review of the pattern file, working in constant contact with the client to ensure it is fully optimized for production.

We oversee and carry out the entire garment manufacturing process in-house — from cutting and sewing to padding and assembly, pressing, and final testing.

Prototyping and sample collection

Thanks to its modular structure, BORGO PIUMINI is able to create the first prototype and subsequent sample series within extremely short lead times.

For this reason, many internationally renowned brands, even when outsourcing their production abroad, rely on BORGO PIUMINI for the development of their samples.

Finished garments

Alongside its traditional production of down interiors, BORGO PIUMINI also offers the possibility of manufacturing finished garments through production units directly supervised by the company’s headquarters.

BORGO PIUMINI is able to flexibly produce various series of samples and collections, relying on a proven network of workshops, each specialized in specific types of garments.

Each workshop is distinguished by high specialization and artisanal expertise. These are production lines with decades of history, capable not only of meeting client requirements but also of guiding the proper industrialization of the product, thereby optimizing both time and methods.

Spreading and cutting operations can be carried out using robotic equipment, managed directly by the pattern-making center, with the option of sending the necessary files by email in any format—an aspect that enables real-time initiation of production for different models.

All down materials used for padding undergo regular washing and hygienic-sanitary treatment in compliance with Presidential Decree No. 845 of January 23, 1975, and Ministerial Decree of November 10, 1976.
