The Oeko-Tex Standard 100 is a control system and a certification for all the textile industry: from raw materials, to semi-manufactured to finished products and in every phase of production. The tests for harmful substances includes substances which are prohibited by law, chemicals known to be harmful to health and parameters to safeguard health.
The certification of the textile product, verified according to one of the four product classes of Oeko-Tex, depends on its intended use. More a product is in contact with the skin, stricter are the requirements.
Manufacturers can label the products or groups of items successfully analyzed with the Oeko-Tex label or advertise in other forms as long as it has been proven through extensive laboratory tests that all components and accessories without exception meet the required test criteria. The certificate issued is valid for one year and can be renewed as many times as you request it.
